The Dualers are a Ska & Reggae band from South East London. They first hit the headlines when the single ‘Kiss on the Lips’ stormed in to the UK Top 30 despite no industry backing.

Their song ‘Truly Madly Deeply’ charted at #23 and also featured in the Hollywood blockbuster Fools Gold starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. With a number of album releases, several top 40 chart singles and a large worldwide fan base behind them, their success has continued. The Dualers unique Jamaican-style rhythm & blues sound teamed with their lively vibrant performances has seen the band consistently perform to sell-out crowds all over the UK, Europe & Asia.

Lead singer and founding member Tyber Cranstoun’s love for Ska and Reggae music developed from a very early age. His father, Bill was a local promoter of Jamaican music in the 1960s and ran his Savoy Sound System at several locations in south London. After graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Tyber began busking with his brother Si Cranstoun on the streets of Canterbury and South London where his distinctive vocals and lively performances soon began to draw in large audiences. With an ever increasing fan base developing, Tyber seconded a group of musicians. Together they began writing their own songs and performing them live to audiences across the south-east.

As The Dualers, they progressed to performing alongside some of the biggest names in Ska and Reggae including The Skatalites, Prince Buster, Toots and The Maytals, Ziggy Marley, Jimmy Cliff, UB40 and Madness.

Venue:

Address:
The Street, Cobham, Kent, DA12 3DB

Description:

This Grade I listed church, which dates from the mid 13th Century, overlooks the street in the centre of our village. The medieval architecture provides a spectacular backdrop to our musical events. The chancel contains an internationally famous collection of medieval brasses commemorating the de Cobham family.

The church is open daily during daylight hours and is well worth a visit in its own right together with the adjacent medieval College which was built by the de Cobham for the priests, who were appointed to say masses for the family members buried in the church.
